Emails you will receive
We send a few kinds of email, and none of them is marketing. Each one either tells you the books are done or asks for something only you can answer.
The emails
- "Confirm your email for BookKeepMate"
- Sent the moment you sign up. Click the link to activate the account; it works for 24 hours, and the "Resend the link" button on the confirmation page sends a fresh one (once a minute).
- "[Month] books closed — net $X"
- Sent the moment a month closes, automatically on the 3rd or when you close it yourself. Income, expenses, net income, cash at month end, tax to set aside year-to-date, how much was handled automatically, new vendors and large transactions, and a link to the full Books Closed report.
- "N quick questions to close your books"
- Sent after a sync leaves items in the review inbox — at most once every 24 hours, and never when the inbox is empty. Lists up to five of the items with the model's question, and links to the inbox.
- "[Month] can't close yet — N to answer"
- Sent on the 3rd if the automatic close was blocked by open review items. Answer them and the month closes.
- "[Bank] needs you to sign in again"
- Sent once when a bank connection stops working or its permission is about to expire. The button takes you to Settings to fix it in about a minute.
- "Reset your password"
- Only when you ask for it. The link works for one hour.
Who receives them
Every owner on the account. Billing receipts go to the email you used at checkout, right after each charge.
Keeping it quiet
- The review digest stops as soon as the inbox is empty — the fastest way to fewer emails is more rules.
- There is no weekly newsletter, no "tips", no upsell sequence.
- Emails come from
books@bookkeepmate.com. Add it to your contacts so the monthly close doesn't land in promotions.
Note: We never ask for your bank password, card number or a code by email. If something claiming to be from us does, forward it to support@bookkeepmate.com.
